This chart applies to cold drawn, precision ground and machined stainless steel round bars, fully compliant with ISO 286-2 international standard for shaft dimensions.
All tolerance values are based on upper deviation = 0, with the listed value as the maximum allowable negative deviation from the nominal diameter.

Tolerance Grade Application Notes
h8/h9: High precision grade, for precision shafts, valve cores, hydraulic components and aerospace parts with strict dimensional requirements
h10: Medium precision grade, the most widely used for general machining, mechanical parts and conventional structural components
h11: Commercial grade, for non-precision structural parts, forging blanks and general industrial applications with low tolerance requirements
