C ≤0.12%, Cr:13.5-15.5%, Ni:0.9-2.0%, Mn:9.0-11.0%, N:≤0.25%, Si ≤1.00%, P ≤0.060%, S ≤0.030%, Fe in balance.
High manganese & nitrogen replace partial nickel to reduce raw material cost.
2. Production Process
2.1 Raw Material Preparation
201 stainless steel coil is slit into required strip width, edges trimmed for precise welding.
2.2 Tube Forming & Welding
Strip passes through continuous forming rolls to form round tubular shape; high-frequency induction welding / TIG welding for longitudinal seam, weld bead inner & outer trimming.
2.3 Post-weld Processing
Online bright annealing / solution heat treatment → sizing & straightening → surface polishing as required → cutting to fixed length → nondestructive inspection → finished packaging.
3. Surface Finishes
●Pickled Surface: Pickled dark silver finish for industrial structural pipes.
●2B Original Surface: Matte grey surface directly from raw strip for general piping.
●Polished Bright Surface: SB/6K polished glossy finish for decorative pipes.
●Hairline HL Finish: Brushed linear surface for architectural decoration.
4. Product Features & Physical Properties
Mechanical Properties (Annealed State)
Yield strength ≥275MPa, Tensile strength ≥520MPa, Elongation ≥40%.
Physical Performance
Slightly magnetic after cold forming; thermal expansion higher than ferritic stainless steel.
Advantages
●Low cost due to low nickel & high manganese formula, cost much lower than 304 welded pipe.
●Good room-temperature atmospheric rust resistance for dry indoor environment, easy bending, welding and polishing.
