Stainless steel patterned plate (also named embossed sheet, checkered plate, diamond tread plate) is formed by high-pressure embossing rollers to stamp uniform concave-convex patterns on one side of stainless steel base sheet. It is split into two main categories:
Anti-slip checkered tread plate: Thick plate with raised diamond, lentil or 5-bar grains for industrial flooring, stair treads and marine anti-slip platforms.
Decorative embossed sheet: Thin cold-rolled plate with delicate linen, pyramid, leather, wood grain, water ripple textures for architectural & elevator decoration.
Raw materials cover mainstream austenitic & ferritic stainless steel grades including 201, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 430. 12. Usage Notes
●Anti-corrosion limit: 304 patterned plate cannot be used for long-term seawater & salt spray environments; select 316L grade for coastal projects.
●Magnetism explanation: Slight magnetism on 304 after embossing is normal cold-working characteristic, no impact on corrosion resistance and structural strength.
●Surface protection: Mirror, colored and No.4 brushed base embossed sheets must be covered with PE protective film during cutting & transportation to avoid scratch damage.
●Welding suggestion: Thick anti-slip tread plates adopt TIG/MIG welding; pickling passivation after welding restores full anti-corrosion performance.
●Load reminder: For heavy vehicle frequent rolling platforms, select lentil or 5-bar thick checkered plate over 4mm base thickness for longer service life.
