Grade 904L is a non-stabilised low carbon high alloy austenitic stainless steel. The addition of copper to this grade gives it greatly improved resistance to strong reducing acids, particularly sulphuric acid. The steel alloy is resistant to all the corrosion cracking ability with which they are used in the industrial applications. This is the non-magnetic alloying elements which are offering excellent corrosion resistance with formability, weldability, and toughness.
